Self Storage - From Buying to Building
A local gals story
Wendy Carpenter

Wendy Carpenter

Real Estate Investor in Self Storage and Single Family | Firefighter

Five years ago, while looking into multi-family buys, she happened to stumble upon an outdated listing for a storage facility. Little did she know this would be the first of three (soon to be four) storage facilities she owns, operates, and self-manages. The fourth facility is her first development endeavor!  Fighting cities, learning the jargon, and powering through the challenges has been a wild ride so far!

Wendy Carpenter,  Wendy is all over the place. Both in and out of real estate!

What we mean by this is Wendy invests in real estate (AKA obsesses over real estate), has a small farm, operates a 501c3, and works full-time as a firefighter

Wendy’s other investments include a current count of fifteen residential doors and another seven doors owned jointly with her boyfriend. Her favorite residential investment strategy is converting single family residences to duplexes. She also loves taking disgusting houses and turning them into a home that renters will love. Her favorite quote is by Cher, who when told by her mother she needed to marry a rich man, she replied, “Mom, I am a rich man!”
